What is Valeo International Academy?

Valeo International Academy is an elite residency soccer program based in Lisbon, Portugal for High School and Collegiate male players.

VIA partners with elite academies and coaches in Portugal and our players will train under the same world-class training curriculum that created elite soccer legends, such as: Deco, Nani, Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.

What are the age requirements to attend VIA?

Minimum age for the any camp/vacation program is 12. School enrollment is begins at 14 years old.

Do I need a visa to travel to/stay in Portugal?

 If you have an American Passport, you do not require a Visa for programs up to 90 days. You’ll need a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining before your passport expires. If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, we can help you obtain the proper Visa. All non-European Nationals need to check with the Portuguese embassy in their respective country. European Nationals do not require a Visa.

What is included in my trip fee to VIA?

This depends on the program you have a part of. The basics included in every trip are:

Is airfare included in my trip?

Airfare is generally not included in any program.

What happens if I get sick or injured while in Portugal?

We have 24 hour supervision for the kids. If a doctor or hospital visit is needed our staff will get proper medical attention. If you are a non EU residence, emergency room visits require your passport and a fee of 105 euros. The closest hospital to the VIA residence is 15 minutes away. Any soccer injuries during training at the club will be evaluated/treated by the club's trainers on duty.
